A simple cottage that is simply delightful! Excellent for the small family, looking to make some outstanding memories with their children. Just the right spot for the couple looking for a romantic getaway to relax and refocus. Perfect for a lady’s only retreat to refresh and revitalize. Less than a block away from downtown Pentwater!!!
This AIR CONDITIONED, two bedrooms, one bath, pet-free, smoke-free cottage is perfectly located in the heart of the Village of Pentwater. A few steps away from all the wonderful shops, Chamber of Commerce, restaurants and docks/water. Enjoy your coffee or a fresh cinnamon roll just down the way, while sitting on a waterside bench looking out over the lake and boats motoring down the channel.
Imagine early morning reading and late night games out in the enclosed sun porch. Watch hundreds of Netflix movies and shows on the 55-inch television while relaxing in new recliners and an over-size couch perfect for an afternoon nap. As long as you promise not to do too much work, there is WIFI throughout the home and property allowing quick access for your phone and laptop.
Bedroom one offers a queen bed with nice, vintage furnishings and quaint décor that will make you feel like you’re staying in a small remote European cottage. Bedroom two boasts two doubles sitting atop of two beautiful antique iron beds. Plenty of warm blankets for those cool mornings and a ceiling fan to circulate the A/C on those hot summer nights.
The enclosed porch also has a full futon for an extra sleeping area along with a table for evening games and enjoyment.
There is a large, clean, bright, step down kitchen with a dining table that comfortably seats six. Full size refrigerator for all your groceries, electric stove, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. Grill your steaks right outside your kitchen door on the gas grill (propane provided).
Fully remodeled bathroom! There is nothing worse than taking a vacation with an old dirty bathroom. Easy to clean, easy to use tile tub/shower. Elegant bowl sink, hooks for everyone’s towel and great lighting. Need more space to get ready? No problem, your second bedroom offers a vanity with make-up mirror and power to free up the bath for another.
Take a bicycle ride around the neighborhood to look at all the historic homes (Two adult bikes provided). Don’t forget to go down to the beach (One minute in car, 10 minutes on bike, 20 minutes on foot) to enjoy some of God’s greatest sunsets! Some sunsets evoke an applause from those who experience such a sight. The beach in Pentwater is the Charles Mears State Park Beach. No trash, No seaweed, No worries. (No lifeguard). Just an amazing white sand beach, with swimming with waist deep water out to 50 feet. Or bring a picnic and climb a sand dune to view a coastline you only see in magazines. All we ask is that you tell NO one of this special place in Michigan!
You will look forward to each evening as you enjoy your drink by the fire in the provided fire pit (wood not provided) with your chocolate and marshmallow S’mores after dinner. Sing songs or tell scary stories as you relax, watch the embers glow, and as you say “hello” to people walking down the sidewalk wishing they were you.
It’s the little things that make a difference. Private driveway, extra street parking for easy parking for a boat, six folding beach chairs, extra propane, vacuum, and extra blankets.
We look forward to your stay in our cottage. Although it’s not the biggest or the fanciest, we are confident it will become your favorite cottage. One that you can call your own and look forward to and each year. Sleeps 6.
